Dragon Quest X Offline set to release in Japan on September 15 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC
Square Enix has announced that Dragon Quest X Offline will launch in Japan on September 15 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. A large DLC expansion based on Version 2 of the MMORPG - Sleeping Hero and Guiding Alliance - is planned to launch in Spring 2023.
While a Steam page is available for the PC version, is it region locked outside of Japan.
As the name implies, Dragon Quest X Offline is a version of MMORPG Dragon Quest X that allows players to experience the game more like a single-player RPG. It was originally announced at the Dragon Quest 35th anniversary stream event in May 2021, and it was originally dated in the region for February 2022 before getting delayed shortly afterward.
There has been no word of a potential English localization. Those of us in the west can look forward to games like Dragon Quest Treasures, Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, and the eventual Dragon Quest XII, however.
