Digimon Survive receives a Gameplay Trailer showcasing its moral choices, exploration, and combat options
Bandai Namco has shared a gameplay trailer for Digimon Survive providing another brief look at the upcoming strategy RPG accompanied by new footage. The trailer shares more information on the title's exploration mechanics, moral choices that players make, and the various options players can utilize in battle.
The world map divides up several areas for people to visit and for them to speak to anyone found in those places. They can take out their smartphone to locate certain points of interest in the environment, which can yield clues or items. Several conversations may contain a choice to make, which can affect Karma, affinity, and Digivolutions. Karma can directly affect the Digivolution path available to certain Digimon through the Karma Diagram detailed previously.
In battle, characters can talk to their Digimon to raise their stats temporarily. Players can also choose to speak with the enemy and if things go well, they may join players as well. Side and back attacks deal bonus damage in combat, so positioning is key. Equipment and training items are available to Digimon to raise their stats further. Of course, Digivolutions will be one of their most effective tools as they transform into a more advanced, stronger Digimon with a new array of tools available to them.
Digimon Survive launches PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC (Steam) on July 29. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are supported through their backwards compatibility feature.
