Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness provides a Game Overview Trailer highlighting Exploration, Skill Trees, Whistle Grades, Weapon Types, and Limb Injuries
Spike Chunsoft shared a brand-new trailer for Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness going over many gameplay mechanics and systems in the upcoming title.
The game revolves around exploring the Abyss, a mysterious place that becomes more and more dangerous the deeper travelers explore. Several layers comprise the Abyss and the creatures, wildlife, and environment severely changes in-between each layer. Cave Raiders who explore the Abyss tend to seek Relics.
In Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness, the location of creatures and Relics change up every time players dive into the Abyss. Relics obtained from the Abyss are brought to the Relic Appraisal for both experience and money. On the other hand, they will be lost and can't be taken back to the surface if a player dies in their current trip in the Abyss.
As people level up their Cave Raiders, their stats will rise and they will gain skill points to spend on the game's multiple skill trees. There are skill trees for battle, cave raiding, and crafting. Leveling up, improving skills, and accomplishing requests allows players to earn higher whistle grades. In the Made in Abyss series, the reputation and prestige of a Cave Raider is tied to the color of whistle they possess. Higher whistle grades grants access to deeper layers of the Abyss that contain even more rarer Relics; they also unlock more powerful skills in the game as well.
Face off against deadly foes with a pickax, hatchet, bow, and gun. Weapons have a durability value so they will break after using them too much, though new weapons can easily be purchased or crafted. Relics can be utilized to create powerful weapons and items.
The horrors of the Abyss await with powerful enemies that inflict crippling status ailments. Cave Raiders that sustain injuries on their limbs will restrict their mobility and make further exploration that much harder.
Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness comes out on September 2 for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam).
