Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes has a new Gamescom 2022 trailer featuring characters from Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising
Rabbit & Bear Studios and 505 Games have shared a new Gamescom 2022 trailer for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes showcasing a lot of new footage for the upcoming spiritual successor to the Suikoden series.
It features the protagonist Nowa running around several environments to convey what players can expect when moving around in the game. There are some scenes with one of the game's other prominent characters, Seign Kesling and the trailer mentions that Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will live up to its name with "over 100 playable characters".
Several characters from the sidescroller RPG companion game, Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, make an appearance as well, including the magical girl Mellore and the broadsword-wielding kangaroo Garoo. Some familiar-looking locations from Rising seem to be in Hundred Heroes, though we aren't 100% certain they are the same locations from Rising.
After a few clips of battle footage, the Gamescom 2022 trailer for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes ends with Nowa and Seign facing off at opposite ends of a bridge during sunset.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is launching in 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam, GOG, Epic). It will also be coming to Xbox Game Pass.
More details for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will be coming in Tokyo Game Show. For the latest developments on what Rabbit & Bear Studios are up to, they published a new update post on their Kickstarter page.
Our story begins in one corner of Allraan, a tapestry of nations with diverse cultures and values.
By dint of sword, and by way of magical objects known as “rune-lenses,” the land’s history has been shaped by the alliances and aggressions of the humans, beastmen, elves, and desert people who live there.
The Galdean Empire has edged out other nations and discovered a technology that amplifies the rune-lenses’ magic.
Now, the Empire is scouring the continent for an artifact that will expand their power even further.
It is on one such expedition that Seign Kesling, a young and gifted imperial officer, and Nowa, a boy from a remote village, meet each other and become friends.
However, a twist of fate will soon drag them into the fires of war, and force them both to reexamine everything they believe to be right and true.
