Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will have online features and a unique main menu
More details about Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection have shown up at the Capcom Online Program in Tokyo Game Show 2022. Other than an elaborate main menu, the game's director also confirmed that online features for the games are in the works.
The initial reveal at the June 2022 Nintendo Direct showed that the compilation will have an option to toggle a pixel filter, in addition to an art gallery containing over 1,000 images and music player with over 100 tracks. This program newly revealed that the compilation's main menu hub will emulate the in-universe PET (Personal Terminal) device screen, with a full-3D MegaMan.EXE greeting the player.
The stream also revealed that the series writer Masakazu "Meijin" Eguchi, who also served as the model for the series' recurring character Mr. Famous, is the director of this compilation. He announced that the team is working on implementing Online Battle and Chip Trade features for all entries in the collection.
Capcom has also shared more new screenshots from the compilation, and you can find them right below. Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, also to be known in Japan as Rockman EXE Advanced Collection, will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam in 2023.
