Wild Hearts Extended Gameplay Trailer shows the struggle against Kingtusk
Following through on the promise from the initial reveal, Electronic Arts and Koei Tecmo have published a new gameplay trailer forĀ Wild Hearts. It shows the players' struggle against the boar-like Kemono, Kingtusk, which will also be alternatively known in Japan as Yamaugachi.
The hunting game will feature vast fields, but the player will be able to utilize the shape-shifting Karakuri device to traverse the area by converting it to objects like a rotor or a crossbow-launched ropelift. The Karakuri can also be configured to deal additional damage to the large Kemono, such as a single-use hammer or a wall that can stun a charging Kingtush.
Despite a lack of UI in the trailer, the gameplay actions shown indicate that Wild Hearts will pivot closer to Monster Hunter than Koei Tecmo's previous Toukiden series. In the latter, the player had to perform a purification ritual to convert corpses and body parts into items. This game will have them simply carve the corpses to obtain items, just like the former.
