Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis closed beta test delayed to Summer 2023; new trailer
Square Enix has announced that the closed best test for Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis has been postponed to Summer 2023, as a new trailer for the mobile game has been shared.
We last heard about the upcoming Final Fantasy VII mobile entry during Square Enix's FFVII 25th Anniversary Celebration Broadcast in June 2022. Touted to eventually cover the entirety of the Final Fantasy VII Compilation, including Final Fantasy VII, Crisis Core, Before Crisis, Advent Children, and Dirge of Cerberus, the new trailer below shows some iconic scenes from the franchise, as well as some interesting twists such as characters donning new outfits or in new scenarios. The game uses chibi-style characters akin to the original Final Fantasy VII when navigating the world, but Remake-like models while in the turn-based combat system.
The new trailer and a message from Final Fantasy VII projects creative lead Tetsuya Nomura can be found below.
"We're excited to reveal the latest trailer for "Ever Crisis". Regarding the Closed Beta Test, it will be postponed until next Summer. We are working hard to make the game even better than expected, so please stay tuned for more updates in the future." – Tetsuya Nomura
