Live A Live launches for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam on April 27
Square Enix has announced that the HD-2D remake of Live A Live will launch for Playstation consoles and PC via Steam on April 27. Launching in July 2022 exclusively for Nintendo Switch after the original Super Famicom version was never officially localized, Live A Live was a release that remained a bit of a white whale for many years until it was finally made officially available in English for the first time last year.
Experience this legendary RPG, brought to life in the same HD-2D visual style as OCTOPATH TRAVELER. Meet seven heroes, each with their own unique abilities and lives to live across different time periods. Experience their stories in any order you choose, uncovering shocking developments along the way
In addition to the release date announcement for the new platform versions, Square Enix has announced that similar to the Nintendo Switch version, a free demo will be available today to allow players to start the opening sections of three stories in the game. Those who pre-order or have PS Plus memberships will also get a 20% sale discount.

The Live A Live HD-2D remake was one of our top ten games of 2022, with our reviewer stating that it brought a strong sense of discovery and adventure even today -- a great accomplishment for a title originally from 1994. Needless to say, we highly recommend that more people check out this delightful re-release when it launches at the end of the month.
