Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest - The Adventure of Dai launches worldwide in Fall 2023
Dai will begin his big adventure later this year. Square Enix confirmed that Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest - The Adventure of Dai is set for a Fall 2023 launch. The announcement of Infinity Strash's launch window came via the official Japanese Dragon Quest Twitter account. Though it doesn't have a specific date yet, the seasonal window puts the date anywhere between September and December 2023. The action RPG spin-off is already confirmed for a simultaneous global launch, so it'll arrive on PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam at the same time across all relevant regions.

Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest - The Adventure of Dai is based on Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, a classic manga and anime series. Originally running in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1989 to 1996, the series became one of the magazine's best-selling series of all time. The Adventure of Dai also received several anime adaptations, the most recent of which ran from 2020 to 2022. In The Adventure of Dai, a young man named Dai dreams of becoming a hero. He gets his chance after meeting Avan, the hero who defeated the Demon King Hadlar in the past. To honor Avan's legacy, Dai teams up with friends to begin a quest to defeat Hadlar once more and return peace to the world.
Infinity Strash will put players in control of Dai, as well as his companions, like Popp, Maam, and Hyunckel. Each character will have a unique play style and special abilities. It'll have two modes: A story-based adventure following the path of the TV series, up through the "Sovereign Rock Castle" story arc, and feature CG cutscenes and storytelling. A semi-randomized mode called "The Temple of Memories" will serve as a more rogue-like experience that players can engage with repeatedly. The Temple of Memories is a multi-floor dungeon that changes its enemy makeup, layout, and special gimmicks each session. In the Temple of Memories, players can equip "Bond Memory" items to recall key moments from the Adventure of Dai manga and to improve their abilities and stats.
