Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin launches on Steam, receives special armor patch

Square Enix has released Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin to Steam. The game went live on the Steam storefront as of April 6, 2023, and is available there for $39.99 for the standard edition, and $59.99 for a Deluxe Edition package that includes the three DLC expansions: Trials of the Dragon King, Wanderer of the Rift, and Different Future.

Previously, the PC version of Stranger of Paradise was exclusive to the Epic Games Store. On consoles, the game is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It first launched on March 18, 2022.

On the same day, the game also received a patch. The patch updates Stranger of Paradise to version 1.32. The patch notes mostly cover bug fixes related to the console editions of the game, as well as minor graphical errors. However, players who own the Season Pass (which is required to access the DLC expansions), will also receive a new set of armor. It's called the Warrior of Light armor set and dresses Jack in a getup similar to that of the classic Final Fantasy Warrior of Light.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and EGS. Check out RPG Site's official review.
