See the Diablo IV Rogue's many tricks in a new trailer
Blizzard revealed more about the Rogue class in Diablo IV in a new trailer uploaded to its official YouTube channel. The channel shows off a quick preview of the class, which is returning to the playable roster for the first time since 1997's Diablo. The class was last seen as a role taken by NPC hirelings in Diablo II as well as the mobile Diablo Immortal.
Check out the trailer below.
The Rogue once again appears as a class that mainly uses bows and projectiles in combat, though the transition from the original Diablo to Diablo IV has equipped the rogue with a range of close-quarters abilities. The Rogue can equip bows, crossbows, daggers, and swords. Rogues can imbue their weapons with damage types, as well as summon waves of arrows and ricocheting throwing knives to cut into hordes of enemies. The Rogue also displays a teleporting ability, showing off aspects of previous Diablo "dexterity"-type classes, like the Assassin, and Demon Hunter.
In Diablo IV proper, the different Rogue playstyles will be represented by in-game factions, like the Sisterhood of the Sightless Eye (a reference to the Rogue's organization from the first game).
Diablo IV launches on June 6, 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Check out what Blizzard said about its endgame progression.
