Honkai Star Rail prepares for an Interstellar Journey in its launch trailer
MiHoYo's latest free-to-play title, Honkai: Star Rail, is just hours from its global launch, and the company has uploaded the game's official release trailer to its YouTube channel. Titled, "Interstellar Journey", the trailer features a look at a number of characters (including the player-selected "Trailblazer") and features an original song.
Check it out below.
The new trailer focuses on highlighting the different characters players will encounter as they travel with the Astral Express, a spacefaring train. Characters like Kafka, the Trailblazer, Dan Heng, March 7th, Welt, Hook, Herta, Yanqing, and others were visible. Even characters that appear to be alternative takes on existing Honkai Impact 3rd cast members, like Himeko, Bronya, and Seele, had some screen time.
MiHoYo also unveiled trailers focusing on them in the runup to launch. That said, Honkai: Star Rail isn't directly related to Honkai Impact 3rd.

And here's Seele's:
Unlike miHoYo's open-world action-RPG Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail uses a turn-based combat system and a series of smaller, distinct maps representing regions on the planets players visit with the Astral Express. Like Genshin Impact, it'll be supported by gacha-style monetization, featuring characters on banners to "Warp" in, as well as banners for weapons they can wield. Its premium currency is called "Stellar Jade", and can be acquired for free or in exchange for real-world money.
Honkai: Star Rail launches on April 26, 2023 on PC, Android, and iOS. It will launch on PlayStation platforms at a later date.
