Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster passes over 2 million sales worldwide
The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series has surpassed over two million sales in total, according to an announcement by Square Enix. The figure covers sales in both physical and digital formats across all platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC via Steam, iOS, and Android.
The series, which encompasses remastered editions of Final Fantasy I, II, III, IV, V, and VI done in a new retro pixel style and incorporating some modern convenience features, first launched on PC and mobile in 2021 and 2022. Square Enix then brought the games to Switch and PlayStation on April 19, 2023.
RPG Site covered the games as they released. Scotted reviewed the PC releases of Final Fantasy I through III and IV through VI in 2021 and 2022. Alex said that they weren't quite "definitive", as they're missing some content and tweaks from previous re-releases. Nevertheless, Cullen was thrilled to play them on today's consoles.
