Star Trek Online 'Unraveled' season trailer promotes the Enterprise-F

In a new trailer developer Cryptic Studios unveiled the latest season of content for its ongoing MMORPG Star Trek Online. Titled "Unraveled," the new season will introduce new challenges, story developments, and playable starships. Unraveled is also the 29th season of the game to debut since its launch in 2010, and will go live on PC on May 9, 2023. The season will go live on the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Star Trek Online at a later date.

The trailer actually does not cover the content upcoming in Unraveled, but instead shows off the U.S.S. Enterprise-F, the Odyssey-class starship that serves as the flagship of Starfleet in Star Trek Online's 25th-century timeline. The familiar Star Trek monologue is delivered in the trailer by the voice of actor Dave Rivas, who voices Va'kel Shon, Captain of the Enterprise. The Enterprise-F recently entered the official Star Trek canon by appearing in the third season of the Star Trek: Picard TV series. Picard also featured other ships drawn from Star Trek Online throughout its second and third seasons.

According to a blog post on the official site, Star Trek Online: Unraveled will feature new story missions, as well as new multiplayer Task Force Operations for players to undertake. The story will feature conflicts with the Tholians, an alien race from the Star Trek canon first featured in the original series episode "The Tholian Web".

Star Trek Online is available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. The new season goes live on PC on May 9, 2023.
