Weird West Definitive Edition launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

Publisher Devolver Digital has released Wolfeye Studios' supernatural RPG Weird West on current-generation consoles. The game is now available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as Weird West: Definitive Edition. Current owners of the PS4 and Xbox One editions of the game can avail of a next-gen upgrade for free, as well.

Devolver says that the PS5/XSX version of the game includes "all the updates and upgrades" added since it first launched on PC and previous-gen consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) in March 2022. On PS5 and Xbox Series X, the game will run at 4K resolution and with a framerate of 60fps.

Weird West is an action RPG set in the wild west. Rather than history, though, the game is heavily inspired by folklore and supernatural elements. Players can choose from a number of characters with distinct approaches to combat and questing, following their "journey" and changing the game world through their actions. The game is a simulated sandbox environment, and the story adapts to players' actions as they go through each character's campaign.
