Soulvars deck-building RPG headed to PC and consoles in late June 2023

Publisher Shueisha Games announced that Soulvars, the deck-building RPG developed by solo developer ginolabo, will land on PC and consoles worldwide on June 27, 2023. The game launched on mobile platforms in January 2022. When it hits consoles and PC, it'll be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Additionally, the upcoming Steam Next Fest scheduled for June 19 to 26 will feature a playable demo.

Soulvars pits players and the party against the Dominators, powerful beings that are consequences of human technology run amok. Soulbearers, humans born with "alternate souls," use their powers to fight back against Dominator attacks. Yakumo, a freelance Soulbearer, handles assignments from the private military contractor Dominator Disposal Organization (DDO). 

The game is a turn-based RPG that uses deck-building mechanics and the "Soulbit" system to give players over 100 moves to use against their foes. The game also uses pixel art animated graphics and tactical planning, turning enemy encounters into solvable puzzles. Players will combine Soulbit actions and use them to exploit enemy vulnerabilities while taking unique gear from powerful Dominators to further enhance their abilities.

The console and PC version of Soulvars will feature enhancements from the original mobile game, including a retuned user interface for horizontal screens and controller support on PC.

Soulvars is available on Android and iOS, and will launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC on June 27, 2023.
