Weird West Definitive Edition confirmed for Switch release

Publisher Devolver Digital has officially confirmed that Weird West Definitive Edition will also appear on the Nintendo Switch. An updated version of the original game, Weird West Definitive Edition debuted on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on May 8, 2023. The standard edition launched on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in March 2022.

The Switch edition of Weird West Definitive Edition was first leaked by an Amazon store page listing. The page also asserted that the Switch edition's release date would be September 22, 2023. That said, barring an official announcement, that date should be taken with a grain of salt, as Amazon sometimes uses placeholder information. Though the page was taken down, Devolver confirmed that the "retail leak" was real in a response to a tweet from Gematsu.

Weird West is a supernatural action RPG that incorporates immersive sim-style elements and reactivity. It's set in a supernaturally tinged version of the old west. Different playable characters have distinct play styles, and a player's decision in each character's run of the game will have repercussions on the story for subsequent runs.

Weird West: Definitive Edition is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. A Switch edition is in development.
