Hammerwatch II playable demo arrives on Steam on June 19, 2023

Developer Crackshell and publisher Modus Games announced that action-RPG Hammerwatch II will be playable in a matter of days. At the 2023 Future Games Show stream the studio said that a playable demo for Hammerwatch II will debut for PC users via Steam on June 19, 2023. The game itself is due in 2023 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.

The demo will give prospective players a taste of Hammerwatch II's co-op hack-and-slash action. They'll be able to explore dungeons, gather loot, and slaughter foes in the name of the kingdom.

Crackshell Creative Director Jochum Skoglund also showed off a brief gameplay walkthrough on the Guerilla Collective showcase stream.

Hammerwatch II will bring an improved gameplay experience in both solo and cooperative play, with new equipment, abilities, and wider avenues for customization. Its maps will be larger and allow more open exploration, while new features like a day and night cycle will add variation to the game world. It'll support mods on PC, as well as a map creator for players to expand the game as they wish.
