Like a Dragon 8 is titled Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and is a direct sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon
During the June 2023 Xbox Games Showcase, Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio shared a "reveal" trailer for Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. As described by Sega, Infinite Wealth is in fact the 'previously announced eighth iteration' of the franchise that was shown in September 2022. Sega also reiterates that Infinite Wealth is a direct sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
Although the teaser was presented at Xbox's showcase, the game will come to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC in early 2024.
