The Outer Worlds surpasses 5 million copies sold
Take-Two Interactive Software, the parent company of publisher Private Division, recently released its financial results for fiscal year 2023 [PDF], revealing that The Outer Worlds has sold-in more than 5 million units worldwide.
The news comes from Take-Two's financial results released on May 17, 2023, tucked away on page 6 of the investor presentation.
The Outer Worlds, developed by Obsidian Entertainment, originally released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in October 2019, followed by a Nintendo Switch port in 2020. The game reached 3 million units sold in May 2021.
Earlier this year, Private Division released a current-generation port of the first-person action RPG, titled The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition, released in March 2023.
A sequel, The Outer Worlds 2, was announced two years ago during Xbox and Bethesda's joint E3 presentation in June 2021.
