Sand Land vehicle gameplay showcases the Tank and Jump-Bot
At Anime Expo 2023 Bandai Namco debuted some extended gameplay from its upcoming action-RPG Sand Land. Based on the manga by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, the gameplay footage focused on two of the vehicles available to players in-game.
Check it out below from Bandai Namco's stream archive. Tank gameplay begins at about the 35-minute mark, while Jump-Bot gameplay shows up at the 37-minute mark:
In Sand Land's vehicle sections, the Tank benefits from high firepower and the 360-degree firing arc on its cannon. The Tank's design is based on the tank seen in the Sand Land manga, and it can use missiles, cannons, and machine guns. In keeping with Sand Land's exaggerated style, the tank can even evade by tumbling end-over-end away from an enemy. Players can customize the tank's weapons, and use flashy attacks like a multi-missile barrage.
Meanwhile, the Jump-Bot makes up for its lower firepower with mobility. It can jump great heights and traverse the crags and plateaus that are inaccessible on foot. The Jump-Bot can mount machine guns, grenade launches, and missile launchers.
During the showcase, Bandai Namco also announced that players will be able to try a hands-on demo of the Sand Land game in July 2023 at Comic-Con in San Diego, USA. Comic-Con will also host the premiere of the anime film adaptation of Sand Land.
Sand Land is in development for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It does not yet have a release date. Check out RPG Site's preview of the game from the Summer Game Fest.
