Koei Tecmo and Gust will reveal a new Atelier title on August 8
Koei Tecmo and Gust have announced that they will reveal a new title in the Atelier series on August 8. The announcement will be made on a live stream that will be available on YouTube at 21:00 JST (12:00 UTC).
The Atelier series has been Gust's most active RPG franchise, with its new titles released almost every year. Most recently, Gust completed a remake of Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salburg which Koei Tecmo published simultaneously worldwide (albeit digital-only in the West) on July 13.
The recent Atelier Ryza/Secret trilogy concluded with the release of Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End and the Secret Key last March. While nowadays it wouldn't be a surprise to see a fourth title for the sub-series in a similar fashion to Atelier Sophie 2 or Atelier Lulua, it remains to be seen whether the upcoming title will indeed start a new trilogy or not.
In Japan, the announcement also comes with a sweepstake being held by the Atelier series' official Twitter/X account. For the whole week leading to the announcement stream, Japanese users can follow and retweet the specified tweet for a chance to become one of the 25 winners getting merchandise branded with the Atelier series' 25th anniversary. Gust will also hold another Japan-exclusive sweepstake involving signatures from the new game's voice actors after the stream.
The YouTube live stream containing the announcement of the new Atelier title will also be available to watch right below.
