Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless teaches how Demonic Intelligence allows for efficient Auto-Battles
NIS America unveiled a new trailer for Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless that thoroughly teaches how auto-battles work with the game's Demonic Intelligence feature.
Players can grind their party's levels through auto-battling in Disgaea 7, but it'll expend a resource called Poltergas. Every single turn that passes in auto-battle will cost a single Poltergas. Thus, hard battles would normally burn up a lot of Poltergas if players let the game determine what actions their party members should take.
Instead, people can engage with the Demonic Intelligence system that allows them to manually program what actions their party members should take when auto-battles are turned on. Each individual party member has a grid, in which people can thoroughly tune how they should act when certain scenarios are met as they auto-battle.
For instance, the trailer shows how a player can command Kimberly to support an ally with the lowest remaining HP% by moving towards them to use a healing spell. They can specify this order of commands even further to engage this order of actions if an ally's HP is 99% or less, so if a character takes damage, then Kimberly will go to the character with the lowest remaining HP% first, then move onto anyone else right after.
Several more new features in Disgaea 7 were shown off a few days ago here.
Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless is coming the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam) on October 3.
