Gothic Classic arrives on September 28 for the Nintendo Switch
After a small teaser in March, THQ Nordic has announced that Gothic Classic is coming to the Nintendo Switch on September 28.
Gothic originally released in 2001 as a PC exclusive. This upcoming re-release is not a full remaster. Instead, it is a graphically touched-up port with tailor-made controls and UI for the Switch. THQ Nordic has also mentioned that the Switch version of Gothic Classic will have "numerous fixes" and they have listed those here.
THQ Nordic is also working on a remake for Gothic 1 with developer Alkimia Interactive that is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam), though no release date has been set for it yet.
The Twitter account for Gothic also previously teased Gothic 2 running on the Nintendo Switch, so that may be coming in the future too.
Until then, here is the announcement trailer for the Gothic Classic port on the Nintendo Switch.
