Turn-based RPG Virgo Versus The Zodiac hits the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on August 23

Developer Moonana and publisher Serenity Forge have announced that Virgo Versus The Zodiac is coming to the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on August 23. The pixel-art turn-based RPG initially launched on PC (Steam) in December 2019. It used to be published by Degica Games, but Serenity Forge has taken over as the publisher for the title.

In our original post for the title, we mentioned that Virgo Versus The Zodiac was inspired by the Mario & Luigi and Mother series. Even though it's turn-based, the game has players blocking, countering, and timing their attacks in real-time. The game contains multiple endings and no random encounters.

Today’s news was accompanied by a gorgeous animated trailer showcasing the journey you’ll take as the Dreadful Queen… no, that’s what the heretics call you... the journey you’ll take as the Holy Queen, Virgo, to right the wrongs across the galaxy. Oh, and the alpacas you’ll ride on throughout.

Virgo’s quest to restore the cosmos is a righteous one. The Holy Queen is going to bring back the Golden Age of the Zodiac Realms, a period of peace and balance. Some might call her quest unforgiving, and even twisted, but those heretics don’t know what they’re talking about. Virgo’s worldview is correct, and anyone who stands in her way to stop her is a villain. She is definitely the hero of this story.

Virgo Versus The Zodiac utilizes precision timing combat elements to add an additional layer of skill to its turn-based gameplay. Learn your enemies, counter their attacks and time your holy strikes correctly to smash through their defenses. Virgo Versus The Zodiac forgoes random encounters, instead opting for bespoke, unforgiving battles designed specifically for your quest.
