Sea of Stars introduces new character Serai, the Portal Assassin in its launch trailer

Sabotage Studio has unveiled the launch trailer for their long-awaited turn-based RPG Sea of Stars. The trailer shows a lot of new footage for the game, along with a new playable character - Serai, the Portal Assassin. As her job title might imply, she is a swift attacker that can utilize portals to navigate the battlefield to ambush foes easily.

The launch trailer for Sea of Stars also shows more gameplay of the previously revealed playable characters - Valere, a Lunar Monk; Zale, a Solar Blade Dancer; and Garl, a Warrior Cook. 

Aside from the plethora of new combat footage, the launch trailer also takes a look at the RPG's navigational elements when traveling across maps and several side activities, such as cooking and fishing.

Sea of Stars is coming on August 29 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam).

Sabotage Studio has also recently announced that Sea of Stars will be getting a physical release in early 2024 through a partnership with iam8bit.

Sabotage Studio has released the dazzling launch trailer today for its long-awaited second title, Sea of Stars - a gorgeous retro-inspired turn-based RPG launching in just one week on August 29 on PC and consoles.

Today’s launch trailer gives fans an extended look at the gorgeous world inhabited by the Children of the Solstice, including the game's leading heroes Valere, a Lunar Monk, and Zale, a Solar Blade Dancer. Along their quest to defeat the creations of an evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer unfolds this unforgettable story of a grand journey through a breathtaking world full of surprises, delights, friendship, betrayal and conquest. 

But the Solstice Warriors will not be alone in their quest - today’s trailer surprises fans with a new playable character: Seraï, a deadly assassin with the ability to carve portals with her razor-sharp daggers and surprise enemies when they least expect it. And of course, there is the good old Garl, the lovable warrior cook with a heart as big as his smile. Each of these dynamic characters plays an intricate role in the lives of Valere and Zale on their journey as fate unfolds in this mystical, magical world.
