The reign in Spain will belong to.. GAME?

UK industry leader GAME has opened nearly 40 stores in Spain this year - and with 12 stores instore for Portugal, GAME looks to be well on the way to continent domination. Look out, only superman can save us now!

Silly jokes aside, GAME are firmly believed to continue to open its stores all over continental Europe - perhaps even becoming the industry leader of the whole continent, let alone simply the UK.

"When we look at our Spanish business, we consider it to be a tremendous success," said group CEO Lisa Morgan. "It is a great complement to the business, providing a good contribution to the group with excellent future prospects."

Morgan also went into more detail on going for the rest of the European continent, citing a swoop on a/ rival chain/s in the process;

"When we look at expanding outside of the UK into continental Europe, we look at a number of key ingredients: an established video games market and then a small company with some infrastructure that we can help develop. You need good strong local management and you need a property market which will give you access to fast growth."
