Front Mission 2: Remake Date Announcement Trailer confirms October 5 as new release date
Forever Entertainment has published a new Date Announcement Trailer for Front Mission 2: Remake. As implied by the title, the trailer also confirmed that the remake of the 1997 PlayStation mech strategy RPG will now have October 5 as its new release date.
Previously in the March 2023 Nintendo Direct, Forever announced that Front Mission 2: Remake would be released on June 12. But in late May, they delayed the game's release to Q3 2023. The newly confirmed date of October 5 — which already falls in Q4 — would mean that the publisher slightly missed the target. But what matters the most is that this is hopefully the finalized release date for this remake.
Find the new trailer, screenshots, and fact sheet for Front Mission 2: Remake right below. As it stands right now, the remake is only slated to come to Nintendo Switch. But future releases on other platforms are not out of the question, as proven with the first remake which eventually came out for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC last June.
A classic tactical RPG returns! The second game in the main Front Mission storyline will be available outside of Japan for the first time.
Front Mission 2: Remake blends intense strategy with a deep and engaging storyline.
Twelve years have passed since the second Huffman conflict. The impoverished People's Republic of Alordesh has suffered severe economic decline since the war ended. In June, 2102, soldiers of the Alordesh Army rise up and, led by Ven Mackarge, declare independence from the O.C.U. (Oceania Cooperative Union).
In Front Mission 2: Remake, the perspective switches between three characters: Ash, Lisa, and Thomas, creating a worldview that goes beyond a simple dichotomy between good and evil.
