Square Enix announces stage play based on War of the Visions Final Fantasy Brave Exvius
Square Enix is producing a stage play adaptation of its mobile tactical RPG War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. The play, offically titled Final Fantasy Brave Exvius Gen'ei Sensou The Stage, will open in Tokyo, Japan between February 3 and March 3, 2024. Tickets are being pre-sold in Japan via the official website.
Buyers of certain special pre-sale options at ticket purchase will get some special merchandise: A key visual postcard featuring the main cast, and a smartphone stand decorated with art from the game.
War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius launched in November 2019. Its story is a spin-off of the mobile RPG Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, taking place on the continent of Ardra. There, a war breaks out between the continent's powers: The nations of Leonis, Hourne, Fennes, Wezette, and the Crystal Sanctum. At the start of the story players follow two Leonis princes: Mont and Sterne, as they navigate the conflict, which is also characterized by the summoning and command of "Visions", characters from the Final Fantasy franchise (and other titles, based on the crossover) to gain an edge in battle.
The stage play's cast contains a few popular idols in key roles. Mont Leonis is played by Yoshida Jinto, a member of boy band M!LK, while Sterne Leonis is played by Muto Jun, a member of boy band Gen'in wa Jibun ni Aru. Macherie Hourne is played by Kawakami Chihiro, a member of idol group NMB48.
Tickets for the War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius stage play are on sale in Japan until October 26, 2023. The play itself debuts between February 3 and March 3, 2024. The game is available globally on mobile platforms.
