WoW: Burning Crusade Release Date

Originally slated for release this month, the much-anticipated WoW expansion has been delayed by producers Blizzard Entertainment to finalise BETA testing and to 'add finishing touches'.

The Burning Crusade will be released in Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore on January 16th, however release dates for China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau have not been released as of yet.

A colector's edition for the expansion will also be released, which will include an additional 'coffee table' book of 'The Art of Burning Crusade', an exclusive game pet, a behind-the-scenes DVD, a soundtrack CD, a trading card starter deck and exclusive trading cards.

"While World of Warcraft has continued to grow rapidly along with its player population, The Burning Crusade will represent our single largest addition of new game content and new features to date," said Blizzard Entertainment co-founder and president Mike Morhaime.

Recently, Blizzard ahve announced that players of Wow have now exceeded in numbers of 7.5 million players.
