Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden highlights The Weight of Consequences in a new extended trailer

Dontnod and Focus Entertainment have released a new video for Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden that takes a deep dive on the consequences that can unfold based on the choices a player makes. In this new 8-minute video, the voice actors of dual protagonists Antea and Red, Amaka Okafor and Russ Bain respectively, walk through how these choices and consequences can manifest.

Stéphane Beauverger, Head of Narration for Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, sets the stage of an early case taht involves a woman haunted by her late husband. Another man has decided to become a fake husband impostor for the sake of keeping the small town's community stable after murdering the real husband due to his abusive behavior towards his wife.

Needless to say, the ghost of the late husband cannot rest easy and refuses to pass on. After players gather clues to piece the case together, they will be given the choice of whether they want to blame the two living people or choose to ascend or banish the late husband's ghost.

This choice is further muddied by the fact that Red wants to resurrect his dead wife, Antea. In order to do so, he'll have to sacrifice many souls to initiate it. It's up to players to decide how they want to resolve issues as they work towards one of the five endings in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is launching on February 13, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
