Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader releases an in-depth Ground Combat Guide that provides many stat breakdowns

With the release of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader just a week away, Owlcat Games shared a new Ground Combat Guide trailer that sheds some light on the statistical breakdowns of how certain actions on the battlefield are determined. Learn all about how the underlying mathematical systems determine whether your actions are successful or not.

Each of your characters' stats will have a pop-up tooltip to inform players how they factor into the equation on how successful your actions will be. For instance, the Ballistic Skill is vital for a character's accurancy and players need to roll equal to or less than 30 + the character's Ballistic Skill stat to hit foes.

Firearms each have a Range stat that highlights their effective range. Players can shoot further than half of a weapon's effective range, but their chance to hit becomes 15 + a character's Ballistic Skill divided in half.

Meanwhile, positioning on the battlefield is key to mitigate damage because full cover gives a meaty 60% to avoid getting hit, while half cover only provides a 35% chance.
