Cyberpunk 2077 version 2.1 patch notes detail romantic hangouts, races, and new activities
The full patch notes for the next big update to Cyberpunk 2077, version 2.1, are live. The patch itself is expected to launch on December 5, 2023 at 12:00 PM CET (about 7:00 AM ET). The patch notes more fully detail the changes, additions, and fixes going into the update that were teased in an earlier livestream.
You can see the detailed notes at this link, but here's a breakdown of what's been added:
New Activities and Content
The main addition consists of a new, fully functional NCART metro system for Night City. While previous versions of the game used Night City's train stations as simple nodes for the existing Fast Travel system, the update makes 19 of Night City's metro stations fully usable, and running along 5 different lines. Players can use the system like the standard fast travel system or ride the train itself.
V can now invite a love interest to any of the apartments to hang out. These hangouts are repeatable and unlock once V has unlocked a romantic path with a given character. For more information on the game's romance paths and who V can romance, check out RPG Site's Cyberpunk 2077 romance guide.
Players will also be able to use the radio while walking, via the Radioport feature.
Other new activities include repeatable car races following the "The Beast In Me" side quest chain, and sightseeing binoculars for seeing Night City's scenic vistas.
Tweaks and Fixes
Certain aggressive actions in gigs and main quests can earn V the enmity of one of the city's gangs. Gang members will begin pursuing V randomly. Quests and gigs involving vehicle theft and delivery can trigger car chases.
Some Night City bars and vendors that were previously decorative have been made functional.
Boss fights, particularly against Adam Smasher from the base game and the Phantom Liberty bosses Yasha Ivanov and Boris Ribakov were tweaked. Smasher in particular can now use the Sandevistan cyberware, as demonstrated in the Edgerunners anime.
Various weapons, Perks and Cyberware items were rebalanced and adjusted. The Cyberware Capacity costs for some were also reduced to make the more competitive in player builds.
Driving behavior for motorcyles was improved, allowing players to lean, enabling stunts like wheelies and flips. Players can also use thrown knives and axes while on a bike.
New Items and Gear
CD Projekt Red added two new pieces of Cyberware to the game: The Feen-X, which increases V's RAM regeneration rate when at very low RAM, and the Cogito Lattice, which boosts V's armor when available RAM is very low.

5 new bikes and a new car, the Porsche 911 Cabriolet, were added to the game. The bikes and car are available via the AutoFixer website.
Technical Improvements and Fixes
Players can mark weapons as "Favorite", preventing them from being accidentally sold or disassembled.
Full support for PS5 DualSense controllers on PC was added.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
