Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes unleashes a 6-minute Key Features trailer providing an in-depth overview
Rabbit & Bear Studios and 505 Games shared a new 6-minute trailer for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes that details a handful of key features from the upcoming Suikoden spiritual successor. It provides a closer look at several characters appearing in the title, along with details about its combat system, the War Mode tactical strategy mechanic, town building, and a look at some of its minigames.
It begins with a recap of how this title features three protagonists - Nowa, Seign, and Marisa. Each of them come from different backgrounds and will band together in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes to change the world. Throughout their journey, they can potentially forge over a hundred alliances with various heroes across the land.
Players can take six characters into battle; each party member wields their own unique skills and abilities. Hero Combos allow multiple characters to perform a single powerful attack together. Some special battles may involve the terrain, such as rock formations sprouting from the ground that characters must take cover behind to mitigate an incoming powerful attack.
Several segments in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes transform the game into a tactical strategy battlefield briefly with War Mode. Oversee armies from an overhead grid-based view and manuever them to dominate the enemy.
As people build up their town, there'll be more activities to do. Some of the minigames showcase is a Beyblade-like minigame with battling tops, fishing, card battles, cooking, and more.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes arrives on April 23, 2024 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam, GOG, Epic). It will also be coming to Xbox Game Pass.
