Genshin Impact Navia Collected Miscellany character teaser calls in a cannonade
Genshin Impact update 4.3 is now live, and with it comes a new playable character: The President of the Spina di Rosula organization, Demoiselle Navia. To coincide with her debut on the in-game gacha Wish banner, HoYoVerse has unveiled a series of character introduction videos to give players a look at what she's like and, crucially, how she plays.
Here's Navia's latest character teaser, a Collected Miscellany entry outlining her gameplay mechanics. She's the first 5-Star Geo-element character to appear in Genshin Impact in nearly two years (the previous high-rarity Geo character being Arataki Itto, who arrived in December 2021 with update 2.3).
Navia appears in the game as a 5-Star, Geo-element claymore-wielding character, with a focus on damage-dealing. Navia is also the playable Genshin Impact character to use a gun, though her combat style is, at its core, melee-based. Navia conceals a large flak cannon in her umbrella (turning it into a "Gunbrella"), and fires a cloud of Rosula Shardshots when she uses her Elemental Skill. The skill consumes a buff called Crystal Shrapnel, which stacks whenever a party member collects one of the shield crystals produced by the Geo elemental reaction (Crystallize). Consuming more stacks of Crystal Shrapnel increases the number and power of Rosula Shardshots fired. Navia can also aim her skill, and when in aiming mode, automatically attracts shield crystals on the field to her position.
Navia's Elemental Burst summons a powerful Geo cannon barrage, hitting the enemy with a large number of shots, and then continually bombarding them for a period of time, producing more shield crystals to fuel Navia's skill.
Navia's two other character teasers also highlight her personality and combat animations, respectively. Navia is voiced in English by voice actor Brenna Larsen, who also voiced Pala in Octopath Traveler II and Tia in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. She's voiced in Japanese by Aki Toyosaki, who voices Yui in K-ON!, Justine and Caroline in Persona 5, and Yunyun in Konosuba.
Genshin Impact is available on mobile devices, PS4, PS5, and PC.
