Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince reaches 1 million sales

Square Enix has announced that Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince has surpassed over 1 million copies downloaded or sold to retailers since the game's original launch last month. To celebrate the milestone alongside a celebratory new artwork, players will be able to download a free Mighty Meat Platter Set from the eShop starting on February 1st. 

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince was able to reach the key milestone a little over a month after launch. Notably, the previous year's release of Dragon Quest Treasures, a similarly scoped Dragon Quest spinoff that was originally slated to be a Dragon Quest Monsters title itself was never reported to reach the 1 million mark, even after subsequently releasing for PC in July. No PC version of The Dark Prince has been announced.
