Tokyo RPG Factory to be merged into Square Enix

Square Enix has announced that Tokyo RPG Factory — the subsidiary developer behind I Am Setsuna, Lost Sphear, and Oninaki — will be dissolved. The information comes from a report from gamebiz.jp.

Square Enix will take over the rights and responsibilities for Tokyo RPG Factory assets and liabilities, which itself will no longer be an entity as part of Square Enix's group companies.

Tokyo RPG Factory is a fully-owned subsidiary of Square Enix. Its shuttering is likely to be similar to that of Luminous Productions last year, although information is sparse as of now. This post will be updated if more information becomes available.
