Gothic horror RPG Withering Rooms launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on April 2
Developer Moonless Formless has announced that their 2.5D horror RPG, Withering Rooms, is launching into full release on April 2 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). It first entered Steam Early Access in October 2022.
Withering Rooms is an action RPG that takes place in a procedurally generated Victorian mansion, so its layout alters every night in-game. The developers have mentioned that the game includes 4 different endings and a New Game+ mode.
As they've continually developed the game throughout its early access period, Withering Rooms has expanded with a large variety of monsters and bosses along with many different builds and gameplay strategies for players to experiment with.
A recent update in December 2023 added three new monsters - the Rogue Ghoul, Lost Horse, and Bloody Man. It also added a Build Display Mirror, so players can easily share their build setups in a single screenshot with others. Steam Deck: Withering Rooms has been played start to finish by multiple people on a Steam Deck and we believe it meets all of Valve's Steam Deck Compatibility guidelines. We are waiting on a Steam Deck Verification review from Valve.
