Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery deploys on March 22 for PC
Publisher XD and developer Shanghai Sunborn Network Technology Co., Ltd. have announced that their upcoming tactical RPG Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery is launching on March 22 for PC (Steam). The project comes from the creators of mobile RPG Girls' Frontline and Reverse Collapse is a remake of their first-ever project, Bakery Girl.
The release date trailer shows a lot of new gamplay footage as players view an overhead map of the battlefield. They must coordinate the movements of their squad to position themselves, in order to gain the tactical advantage on the opposition. An expansive game awaits players as the game has "over 60 mainline stages across different story branches" that is estimated to provide "around 100 hours of gameplay."
Along with continual game improvements and enhancements due to player feedback from various past demos during Steam events, the developers have also included Japanese voice acting with popular voice actors such as Ayane Sakura, Aoi Yuuki, Yui Ishikawa, Katsuyuki Konishi, and Hiromu Mineta.
A Digital Deluxe Edition is available for the game, as well. It'll include "seven new character outfits (including illustrations and corresponding sprite animations), special supply items, a digital Art Book, and the game's original soundtrack." When the title goes live on Steam, there will be an 18% off discount that will last to April 4 so early purchases can get the game for $20.49 USD for the base game and $32.79 USD for the Deluxe Edition.

Greetings, fellow players!
Over the past year, our team has journeyed through numerous closed tests and offline gatherings with the community. We've also offered a free demo during Steam Next Fest in last June, and Strategy Game Fest, gathering invaluable feedback and suggestions from our passionate players.
With the completion of adding voice acting, we've entered the home stretch. Today, we're thrilled to officially announce that the game will be released on March 22. This time, it's the full game, not a demo!
Reverse Collapse holds special significance for the entire development team as it is the remake of our first-ever project: Bakery Girl. Through tireless development and refinement, our remade version aims to transcend visual boundaries and innovate in gameplay, storyline intricacies, and audio performance:
Delving Deeper into Story and Character Development
Our fans may have noticed numerous new CG scenes in the latest trailer. By fully exploring storyline details, character developments, and subplots, we aim to transform the 300,000+ words from mere digits into a rich, immersive narrative experience.
Expanded Level Design, Special Mechanics, and Secrets
As previously revealed, Jefuty's mysterious "Visual Leap" ability opens up a world of possibilities for the story, with over 60 mainline stages across different story branches. In addition to upgraded combat mechanics from the original, we've integrated terrain effects, formidable bosses, and special mechanics to offer a diverse gaming experience, estimated to provide around 100 hours of gameplay.
Furthermore, to enrich your gaming journey, we've hidden collectibles and secrets throughout each map for players to discover.
Implementation of Japanese Voice Acting
The highly-anticipated Japanese voice acting, confirmed since the store page went live, is currently undergoing final implementation testing. Thanks to the dedicated performances of esteemed voice actors such as Ayane Sakura (Attack on Titan), Aoi Yuuki (Your Name), Yui Ishikawa (Attack on Titan), Katsuyuki Konishi (Gurren Lagann), and Hiromu Mineta (Giant Beasts of Ars), the recording has been successfully completed. In the release version, all key story and performance segments will feature voice acting to enhance immersion and storytelling.
Skins, Digital Art Book, and OST
In addition to the base game, the Digital Deluxe Edition includes seven new character outfits (including illustrations and corresponding sprite animations), special supply items, a digital Art Book, and the game's original soundtrack.
To celebrate the release, we're offering an 18% OFF discount from March 22 to April 4 — the post-discount price will be 20.49 USD for the standard edition and 32.79 USD for the Deluxe Edition.
