Neople and Nexon show off new gameplay footage for The First Berserker: Khazan
Developer Neople and publisher Nexon unveiled new gameplay footage for their upcoming single-player action RPG The First Berserker: Khazan at the Xbox Partner Preview event. It shows off some intense encounters that Khazan must overcome to clear the false accusations of treason placed upon him.
Khazan displays his mastery of dual-wielding an axe and greatsword in each hand as he parries incoming blows to strike back harder against the opposition. Some scenes display a sort of finishing move that has the camera zoom in the gruesome ways Khazan can end his enemies. There are parts when Khazan has to throw projectiles at foes from a distance.
To break up some of the action, there are several times in the trailer that show off some devices and mechanics they have to engage with in The First Berserker: Khazan to go deeper into a dungeon.

Live during Xbox Partner Preview, Nexon and Neople unveiled a new official trailer for The First Berserker: Khazan, a highly anticipated single-player action RPG from the extensive universe of Dungeon & Fighter (DNF). A unique blend of Dungeon & Fighter’s anime art style and distinct combat system, The First Berserker: Khazan places emphasis on stylish combos, fast dodging, and precise parrying. The trailer introduced audiences to the unique action and darkly-atmospheric visuals of Khazan through an intense battle scene with area boss “Viper”
First teased at The Game Awards in 2023, The First Berserker: Khazan tells the story of the Great General Khazan, the ancestor of all slayers, after he was falsely accused of treason. In this hardcore action RPG, thrilling combat takes center stage with every step of Khazan’s bloody quest for vengeance against those who orchestrated his downfall, marked by a dark fantasy world, gritty, manga-inspired visuals and intense, aggressive and ever-changing styles of battle.
The new trailer follows an in-game scene set against the backdrop of the Embars region leading up to a boss encounter with “Viper.” It also highlights key battle scenes during the boss’ first and second phases, never-before-seen combat, executions and Khazan’s impactful burst attacks that ground themselves in Dungeon & Fighter’s trademark punchy, yet edgy cartoon graphics.
Alongside the new trailer, Nexon and Neople announced that they will host the second focus group test preceded by the successful first test conducted exclusively in Korea in February.
The First Berserker: Khazan will be available for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
