Disgaea 7 Complete releases in Japan on July 25 with new story scenario and Asagi as bonus character
Nippon Ichi Software has revealed that they will release Makai Senki Disgaea 7: Koremade no Zenbu-iri Hajimemashita in Japan on July 25. This re-release of Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless will be available physically and digitally in the country on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. The Japanese subtitle can be translated to "We've started inserting everything up to now" — in the English releases, this would have been more commonly known as Disgaea 7 Complete.
The complete edition will basically include every DLC released for the original game on disc. However, it will also add a new story scenario and playable character. The new scenario, which is only available after the base game's ending, will have Fuji's party visit the worlds of prior Disgaea entries. Clearing this scenario will unlock Nippon Ichi's recurring character Asagi as a new playable character. The new content will also be available for existing Disgaea 7 players as paid DLC.
Upon Disgaea 7 Complete's release, Nippon Ichi will also add more replayable content to the game. There will be new court sessions that let every character unlock Hell Mode. The maximum status limit caps will also be increased, and there will be a new powerful boss that will test the party to the limits. Unlike the above story and character content, these gameplay features will be available to all existing Disgaea 7 players via a free update patch.

In case you're wondering about the lack of PC version in this announcement, it was also the case with the initial Japanese reveal; the Japanese head office would usually focus on releasing the games on consoles, as the PC releases would be handled worldwide by NIS America. If that is still the case here, we will get our confirmation for a PC release of Disgaea 7 Complete when NIS America announces the official Western localization.
