SKALD: Against the Black Priory arrives on May 30 for PC

Developer High North Studios AS and publisher Raw Fury have announced that Ultima-inspired retro-RPG SKALD: Against the Black Priory  is launching May 30 on PC (Steam, GOG). Plus, its demo on Steam has been updated so people who are interested in trying it can play the latest iteration of the game today.

Alongside Ultima, SKALD: Against the Black Priory has other inspirations as detailed in its announcement, such as Pool of Radiance and multiple Gold Box RPGs from many, many years ago. It began life with a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2019.

Its new release date trailer features a live-action segment evoking the same feeling as video game TV commercials in the 90's and follows up with gameplay footage of the upcoming title.
