Kingdom Come: Deliverance II revealed, releasing later this year
Warhorse Studios is back with a sequel to its break-out hit of 2018, today announcing Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X & S. The title is presently slated to release at some point in 2024.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance was a break-out hit of 2018. While its critical reception was positive but slightly mixed, the game found a significant audience with its unique blend of Elder Scrolls-esque first-person RPG adventuring but set against the backdrop of a realism-first representation of 15th Century Bohemia - an area of Europe that is part of the modern-day Czech Republic, which also just so happens to be where developer Warhorse Studios is based. Back in 2018, RPG Site gave the first game a warm 7/10.
The sequel is a direct continuation from the first game, continuing to chart protagonist Henry's adventure as he clambers up the medieval societal ladder. The game world is promised to be twice the size of the original, and there'll be more cutscenes and a story that is said to be more 'epic', with higher stakes.
