Persona 3 Aegis: The First Mission feature phone game port is coming to Switch and PC via Steam
G-Mode has revealed that they will port Persona 3 Aegis: The First Mission to Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. A Steam page for the game has also appeared, but even though it includes a fact sheet in English, the language tab indicates that the actual game will only be available in Japanese.
This game is a spin-off of Persona 3 which stars Aegis (who is also better known in the West as Aigis) in a new story that takes place 10 years before the mainline entry. G-Mode originally released this Java-made game for NTT Docomo and Softbank feature phones in Japan in late 2007. As for the newly announced ports, their release dates have yet to be announced either as of this writing.
G-Mode has still yet to upload a standalone trailer for this port, but they did make the reveal at a YouTube livestream. You can catch gameplay footage of the port from the 1:04:25 mark.
This is not the first Persona title that G-Mode has worked on. The company previously released a side story game based on the first-ever Persona entry with the subtitle Ikuu no Tou Hen (Otherworldly Tower Arc) in late 2006. This game has also been ported to the same platform in 2023. The Switch version came out first on September 14, with the PC Steam release following shortly after on September 29. If G-Mode still follows this pattern, we may also see the Persona 3 Aegis ports getting released in the same order.
You can find the screenshots and English fact sheet for Persona 3 Aegis: The First Mission right below. The first Persona feature phone game port has still not received an English localization as of this writing despite also having an English fact sheet, and it is yet to be known whether this port will have one or not either.
