Nintendo Q4FY2024 Results: Super Mario RPG remake sells 3.31 million units
Nintendo has released its quarterly financials [PDF] through Q4 of the 2024 fiscal year, giving us some incremental sales updates for Nintendo RPGs.
The main Nintendo RPG released in the fiscal year is Super Mario RPG, which has sold 3.31 million units (up from 3.14 million last quarter). Nintendo also tells us that 2.6 million of those are sold-through to consumers.
Relative to previous Nintendo financial releases, we don't have too many other updates regarding RPGs, but we do have Switch best-seller sales updates as follows:
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has sold 31.85 million units since launch [up from 31.61 last quarter]
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has sold 20.61 million units since launch [up from 20.28 last quarter]
- 19.5 million sold-through to consumers.
- Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet have sold 24.92 million units since launch [up from 24.36 last quarter]
- 3.3 million sold-through to consumers this fiscal year.
- Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield have sold 26.27 million units since launch [up from 26.17 last quarter]
As for the upcoming fiscal year for Nintendo, we have Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door releasing in Q1, so we should hear about initial sales for that release in the next quarterly update.
