Persona 3 Aegis: The First Mission launches in Japan for Switch and PC Steam on June 6
G-Mode has confirmed the Japanese release date for Persona 3 Aegis: The First Mission on their official X account. The classic Japanese feature phone game port will appear on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on June 6.
This port being released simultaneously on both Switch and PC marks a slight departure from G-Mode's prior pattern. The company had previously ported Revelations: Persona Side Story - Otherworldly Tower Arc to the same platforms in September 2023, but there was a gap between each platform's releases. The Switch version of the port came out first on the 14th, while the PC Steam release followed two weeks later on the 29th.
Originally released as a Java-made game for Japanese feature phones, Persona 3 Aegis features a background story that focuses on the eponymous character who is better known in the English localization as Aigis. It will take place at the Kirijo Ergonomics Institute on Yakushima Island in 1999; ten years before the mainline Persona 3 story happens.
