Persona 3 Episode Aigis DLC release date set for September 10

Developer Atlus has uploaded a new teaser for Episode Aigis, the next DLC expansion for Persona 3 Reload. The expansion, which is now set to launch on September 10, 2024 in Japan (and likely the same date globally) will take Reload into the territory once held by Persona 3 FES by adapting The Answer, an epilogue story arc that takes place after the conclusion of the main game.

The trailer is brief, but features new cutscene and combat gameplay from Episode Aigis (spelled "Episode Aegis" in the Japanese version). It also features Aigis' sister Metis summoning her Persona, Psyche. Like The Answer before it, Episode Aigis stars Aigis as the main character. She's shown wearing her up-armored combat gear, and leads the party, empowered by the Wild Card ability, just like the protagonist. The S.E.E.S. team has been caught in a strange time loop and needs to plumb the depths of a new dungeon, the Abyss of Time, to discover how to escape the loop...and maybe how to deal with the finale of the base game's ending.

The episode is offered as part of the Persona 3 Reload Expansion Pass, which unlocks two other DLC tracks. The packs contain background music from Persona 5 Royal and Persona 4 Golden and a costume set featuring more background music and Velvet Room-themed costumes for the cast. The expansion pass is free to players playing the game via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, but will require an additional purchase for players using a standard Xbox Game Pass subscription or on other platforms.
