Turn-based RPG Codex: Eternal Eclipse announced for PC

Developer Mogu has unveiled their debut project Codex: Eternal Eclipse for PC (Steam). This was initially announced at the Latin America Showcase event as part of Summer Game Fest. No release date has been given.

Embark on a quirky adventure with four unique main characters as they seek their truth, battling gods, colossal corporations, and bizarre foes along the way. Unravel the mystery of the Eternal Eclipse and uncover the ancient secrets of the world!

Play as four distinct characters, each with their own stories to uncover and side quests to complete.

Navigate the world with a platformer-inspired system, allowing you to climb, jump off, and hoist up ledges, breaking free from classic grid-based movement.

Engage in combat with active player input during attack animations (timed hits), incorporating dodging and parrying. Special moves feature minigame sequences for extra damage.

Utilize each character's unique abilities to unlock areas and skills in frenetic battles.

Enjoy visuals inspired by retro 2D RPGs, enhanced with beautiful realistic elements set in a 3D world.
