Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake officially unveiled and coming in 2025

Square Enix officially confirmed that they will be also giving the HD-2D remake treatment to the first two Dragon Quest titles with Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake. The announcement was made at the end of the release date trailer for Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake.

While official platforms have yet to be officially confirmed by Square Enix themselves for Dragon Quest I & II HD Remake, it will presumably be coming to the same platforms as Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake consisting of PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam).

At the end of the release date trailer for Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, the artwork further panned beyond the protagonist of Dragon Quest III to show the main heroes of Dragon Quest I & II with the text 'Experience the complete Erdrick trilogy.'

Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake will continue the classic RPG trilogy’s narrative, offering players two adventures to undertake in Dragon Quest I and Dragon Quest II. Planned for release in 2025.
