The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom announced for September 26
During their June Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom for Nintendo Switch. It's the next title in their world-famous Legend of Zelda franchise. However, Nintendo had a surprise for everyone watching: Zelda is the protagonist in this entry! In this game, Link is the one who is spirited away to another dimension, and Zelda has to take up arms to defend Hyrule in Link's stead.
As the title suggests, as the holder of the Triforce of Wisdom, Zelda will need to utilize her brainpower to handle the new puzzles that will crop up around Hyrule. The game will feature an isometric viewpoint, reminiscent of classic 2D Zelda games. Zelda will be able to copy objects around Hyrule with the Tri Rod for her own use later to solve puzzles or fight enemies. Players will be able to stack tables to create new platforms for Zelda to reach new heights, use boulders to block enemy attacks and to use as a weapon, and she will even be able to trace "echoes" of enemies for her to bring out to fight in later battles.
For Zelda fans who were awaiting the chance to play as the titular princess, your time has come! The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom releases in just over three months on September 26, 2024. Check out the trailer and screenshots below:
